The SCRUM Master role is one of facilitation and cooperation. As the protector of the SCRUM process you must ensure that individuals understand their roles. The product owner has a responsibility to prioritise requirements in terms of business value. The development team must turn these requirements into tested deliverable product and invite feedback.

The SCRUM Master should understand the needs of both parties; provide assistance and encouragement as well as identifying impediments.

Certification in this role is the first step towards being an effective SCRUM Master. The course is an opportunity to spend time with experienced SCRUM Masters and candidates from a variety of domains achieving a shared understanding of the SCRUM process and roles there in.
